Participant Comments from Past Years

"Great race and very well organized. I am looking forward to next year."

"Thanks for the photo, and thanks for doing such a great job with your inaugural half marathon. I loved it and I'm looking forward to coming back next year with some of my friends."

"It was an impressive event especially for the first year - things seemed to be so well organized.  You had a great set of volunteers who worked hard, the awards ceremony took place before many 5K's I've done, and I heard a lot of people express how nice the course and the scenery was!"

"I had a great time at the Western MD HM – you all did a fantastic job of putting on a very enjoyable HM!  I hope to be able to come back next year."

"Thanks so much for sending these pictures. I really enjoyed the race and look forward to running it again next year. You and your team did a great job at your inaugural race."

"I just want to Thank You!! for sending me a picture, my husband and daughter didn't get to see me finish because they didn't realize I would finish that soon and I had no pictures of me running it."

"This was a very nice event and I hope it continues for many years. I've run very crowded marathons and half marathons and the smaller scale of this was very enjoyable."

"I want to say what a great race you put on, I hope you continue next year, it was super!"

"I ran the Western MD Half this morning and had a terrific time, both enjoying myself tremendously and having a PR by 5 minutes for a half marathon.  I will recommend this race highly to my running partners."

Delegate LeRoy Myers welcomes the runners to Western Maryland and starts the 2008 race with the siren.
